No, I would never consider NOT giving a present.
It also doesn’t mean I don’t treat her special every other day, but V-day is just a day to be extra special.
Besides self motivation, if it ever happened, my gf would murderise me! lol

You should at least give her a card. Gifts are nice to show that you care for her and they do not always have to be store-bought. Why not pick her some flowers rather than buying them? Gather some shells from the beach you usually go to. Write her a poem or letter about your feelings. If you do buy something, get her a goldfish and tell her she is the only fish in the sea for you!
I personally think Valentine’s Day is worth more than a card. I think its more about having an appreciation day for that special someone in your life. Yes I do believe in giving cards and flowers, etc, but I also want my girl to know she means more to me than some flowers ad a card, ya know!
I think that it shouldn’t be a big deal. i understand you want to be shown that he appreciates you but you can’t determine that by him getting you a card or not. if he really cares about you you would be able to tell.
All I know is I better get a card for sure! lol
