Is Barbara Walters a hero or a whore?
I am not trying to be rude; I want to know what women think. Barbara Walters had an affair with a married man, who she knew had a wife. She was advised to break it off but did not do so right away. Now she reveals it and brings further tension to the families involved. She shows no remorse for her actions and has never mentioned how she was wrong in doing so. She only speaks of the relationship in a positive light. Is she indifferent to his wife or current family members? How do you married women or women with serious relationships feel about this?

She’s neither.
I don’t especially like her…but she a human being like the rest of us.
And we all make mistakes…..and who am I to judge her.
She’s a nobody. Just because you are on television doesn’t make you larger than life.
i’m not married but i think that anyone, men or women, who cheat are whores, i truly do…and the woman was never a hero, i’m sorry to say that…it seems that these days people glorify cheating and just use the word “mistake” to make it more acceptable. I have to say even though she was not a hero, i did put her on high standards [not a pedestal thought] and i was greatly disappointed.
I cant help but notice how everyone is blaming Barbara for the affair and not saying anything about the married man she had the affair with…and also people saying it happened a long time ago, isnt an affair an affair no matter when it happened?
I feel that her revelation was unnecessary. I understand that she’s trying to promote her new book, but revealing personal information that has a chance of affecting other people is selfish, IMO. She’s talking about something that happened 30 years ago… For crying out loud, she needs to let it rest.
She is neither to me…She doesn’t fit the definition of a hero…and for to be a whore…she would have to be still sleeping with married men….What she did was wrong….but who am I to judge her for something that happened a long time ago?
Funny how people are quick to call her a whore..but what about the cheating bastard she had an affair with?
I used to respect her, now I think she is a whore. She aired all of that without a single thought to how it would make his wife and kids feel.
She’s both!
She’s a W H O R E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think she was wrong in what she did, cheating is wrong no matter what. I can’t imagine what the wife of the pos (piece of sh**) has gone through.
She is shameless and disrespectful of the family, he is just as guilty as she is for the actual affair, but her capitalizing on it to hang on to one last ditch of public interest and publicity has WHORE written all over it, so she is a slut for her participation in the affair itself and she is a whore for using it without regard for anyone else involved.
I think typing Barbara Walters and whore in the same sentence is idiotic.
What she did happened years and years ago. You have no idea what they said to each other, the circumstances, nothing, yet you are judging her.
He probably wasn’t getting any from his wife.
She is a woman who is human that’s all that just so happen to be one of worlds most famous news reporter.Yes she was wrong but that don’t make her a hero or a whore.I know some whores and Barbara don’t fit the bill. Now she is wrong as two left shoes but she’s not the first person to have an affair and not give **** and she sure want be the last.
Well, I can say that I was a wife who had a husband cheat, and after my divorce I had an affair with a married man. Do I consider myself a whore or my ex’s now wife a whore? It is 11 years later and I have obviously had more life experience then I did then. People DO make mistakes. My ex and I probobly should never have gotten married. He has been with his wife for over 10 years now. I don’t regret my affair, the sexual part didn’t last long, we both knew it was wrong, and we have remained friends. He is now divorced, I wasn’t the cause.
Anyway to answer your question, my problem with the whole Barbara Walters thing is she wrote about it in a book, named names, and actually seems proud of it. So many years later, why would you reveal the person’s name???
She is just a back stabber…
Another self-deluded “star” who thinks her celebrity excuses her inexcusable actions. And women excuse her most.
If ANY OTHER WOMAN came on here bragging, “Hey! I f*cked a married man for 4 years – it was EXCITING!” – she’d be tarred and feathered.
Oprah would get the same treatment – a free pass for being a shameless homewrecker.
Neither. She is just some pion who is stupid enough to embarrass herself in public.
To me she is just an old woman – nothing more, nothing less. Her personal life is of no interest.
I am not married, and I have been the other woman. However, this is nothing to brag about, and I think that she should have kept her mouth shut. I am interested to see if her future interviews will be effected by this “big mouthitis.”
Also, I am so tired of her talking about this; everyday, I turn on the television and somebody else is asking her about 3 things in the book: Star Jones, Jackie-her sister, and the affair with a Black man.
I am not sure if her being with a married man is even an issue. I think that the real issue here is that she was with a Black man, especially when it was barely socially acceptable.
