What are some good ways to keep a relationship strong over the summer?

I will be away from my boyfriend for a whole month since I will be going overseas to visit a very good friend of mine. Does anyone have any tips to keep the relationship strong during this period of time?

When you two are talking on the phone or emailing each other always try to stay positive and loving. Long distance communication can be difficult if someone is being negative and depressed. Never end a chat or phone call on a bad note…send him away smiling.
Send postcards, make a lot of calls saying you’re thinking about him…
Tell him it’s just a month, tell him you’ll miss him but you know you’re relationship is strong and it’s really no big deal to be apart because you’ll be in each others hearts (cheesy, but hopefully true.)

It will be hard to stay in touch all the time. But you allwas have to be honest and try to tell him as often as possible that you love him.
Try to communicate everyday. It should not be a long conversations, you simply can write a short e-mail, or just sms him few words.
Keep it simple but honest!
To me, an entire month away from my fiance can be very difficult, but very wonderful at the same time! If y’alls relationship and love is strong enough, then there’s nothing you should really worry about. Call him every couple of days if you like and tell him all the fascinating things out there where you’re visiting.
Send him a postcard and call him every 2-4 days, but I would leave it at that. Your time with your friend should be exclusive to her……you’ll kick yourself in the a** later on if you realize you just spent your entire time out of the country talking to your bf on the phone =(
I get anxious a bit when my fiance leaves for a month for work, but after a few days I realize all the wonderful GIRLY stuff I can do with all my girlfriends that otherwise I wouldn’t be able to enjoy with a boy around

Keeping you Communication is the best to keep your relationship strong even though both of you are away…You could chat (video chat..e.g.),send sms messages,call him,e-mail him…etc.. there are many ways if you really wanted to keep your relationship…like what you are doing now…asking help..
