I grew up poor. Not living on the streets poor, but longing for money to buy stuff. As a young child, if I wanted a pair of jeans, I had to go find an odd job like weed a garden/s or mow some lawns to earn enough to buy a pair of jeans. For that matter, any kind of item I wanted I had to go find a way to earn the cash ( legally) in order to purchase what I wanted. My parents had a house and property.. but divorced when I was young. hustling odd jobs was the only way I could make money as I wasn’t old enough to get a “real” job.
Case in point: "The smell of sunscreen and chlorine makes me crave my wife," says Peter, 28. "It takes me back to when we were in high school and she worked summers as a lifeguard at a pool. Smelling that scent gives me the jolt all over again." To get your guy in the moment, revive an old brand of perfume, visit a favorite place from your shared past, or reinstate an early dating ritual. Oftentimes, you won't even need to say anything, according to Bernstein. These sensory connections are so strong that he'll be transported back instantly.
It turns out, research shows that, in reality, women are the ones who make the first move. . . but not the way you might think. According to research revealed in The Man’s Guide to Women by Dr. John Gottman et al., “Whether or not men are interested in a woman is not strongly related to her objective attractiveness but instead to the nonverbal signals she sends out. In fact, when scoring women’s nonverbal behaviors, researchers were able to predict a man’s approach to her with 90 percent accuracy.”
If only humanity can bypass all the surface stuff and tap into the tender, unselfish and unconditional care for one another, it will be better. But, not in a shack or on a mat on the floor. Its just a condition people generally don’t strive for, in any century. And for centuries, mind you, income earned by women lagged behind men due to the structure of society, so now there’s still this issue.
He presented me with the idea that we should still live “poor” as we both were used to. mean while he poured as much money as he could into the employee stock purchase program. Invested in the maximum $$ he was allowed to in the 401 K program with company matching program and found a way to purchase an IRA. This was an aggressive plan. But we were not uncomfortable. We still ate ok and had a roof over our heads. With in three years of this plan, we had saved enough to put a down payment on a house. Then I gave birth to my first but last child since I was 39 years old by the time she was born. We were over our heads in debt with this house but we remained true to our conviction that we could still live “poor” while hiding the $$ from ourselves in various programs available to him while still making the house payments. The house payment was the only debt we had at the time.
9. It gets pretty boring when someone is constantly giving you their heart and soul. So make sure you’re always trying to surprise him. Try pulling a quarter out of his ear. Was he surprised? Try the other ear. Here’s an extra tip: men like to be treated like they’re in the third grade, only with fully-developed genitalia. Does the he like hot dogs? Duh! Slice up hot dogs, and lightly chew them into small little bites. Ask him to lay his head on your lap, and then slowly spit those tiny morsels from your mouth into his mouth. This will make the little birdie feel special.
Sometimes we search too far to get a boyfriend, we don’t realize if the closest person could be someone who can be the best boyfriend for us. I started the relationship with my spouse from a solid friendship. At that time I didn’t realize if he’s the one. I was too busy to find a boyfriend at other places. Till one day I realize if he is the best one, and thanks God he has the same feeling with me 🙂 <<
