There’s this guy we met in summer school and had a thing but fell out , now he hit me up again and we’ve been talking for 1 year and 5 months but he hasn’t came to see me even once. Everytime I ask him he says he does like me he’s just been really busy with school and work and hasn’t the free time but makes promises to make the time soon, idk what to do if I should continue waiting or give up cuz it’s been so long, now it feels like we talk even less he replies once a day if I get lucky and I asked him if he’d just like me to leave I have no problem with it but he insists he’s just mad busy idk what to do plz help
False. I have a lot of friends. Actually, I think my friendships may be part of the problem. Nearly all of my girl friends have or have had boyfriends, which has allowed me to witness what I may be missing. Each time they PDA I hear, “Sucks you’ve never had this.” (Side note, what am I supposed to do when my friend and her boyfriend are engaging in PDA? Should I look at the sky? Pretend I got a text? Look at them lovingly? I never know). And I know, Mom, “Don’t compare yourself to others,” but how can I not?
Sometimes, women think they need to hide their silly sides out of fear of looking goofy or unattractive. We think we have to be playing with our hair and thinking we are the hottest things in the world to get a man’s attention. But this really couldn’t be further from the truth. Men LOVE a woman who isn’t afraid to be silly and goofy from time to time. It’s surprisingly a major turn on! So go ahead and say those silly comments that pop up in your head or bust out that hilarious joke you heard at work earlier. I’m sure he will certainly appreciate your sense of humor and will be glad to have met a woman who is confident enough to show her silly side.

Also false. Meeting new people in any circumstance is arguably my favorite activity. I like meeting new people so much that I become anxious thinking about all of the people I haven’t met. Remember that scene from Gilmore Girls where Rory visits the Harvard University library, which holds 13 million volumes, and she freaks out because she hasn’t read every single one of them? I know, I thought she was an unbearable psycho-nerd too. However, her reaction is consistent with my own when I enter new groups of people. While she has to read every book, I like to meet every person in the group or I feel unsatisfied.

* Be where rich men are. We tend to end up with people who roam our environment. Pilots date stewardesses, cooks date waitresses, bartenders date everything that moves, doctors date nurses, and Facebook employees date Twitter nerds. The majority of men over 30 who work in banking, management consulting, high tech, big law, and venture capital are on the path to top tier wealth if they keep on saving and working for just one more decade. Attend charity events, volunteer programs, or opening night galas. Rich men love to network while supporting a cause. Lay on a beach at a five-star Hawaiian resort. All Hawaiian beaches are public. Take up traditionally expensive sports like golf and less so tennis which have private clubs. Go to alumni mixers with a friend who went to a prestigious university. There are at least 700,000 men in America (out of 1.4 million $380,000+ tax returns) out there after all.
Lead by example to help him improve. Don’t criticize him harshly when he does something bad or wrong. This will make him feel horrible and he will begin to feel bad when he is around you. Instead, if he does something you don’t like, lead by example to show him a better way to be. You can certainly tell him when you don’t like something he does, but don’t be mean or controlling about it and help him find a good way to change.

How To Make A Guy Want You Back

Hey Eric! I just wanted to say I have followed a lot of your advice on your posts, & so far it’s been working much better for me than before I knew ANY of this stuff about men. Following your advice I got a really cute guy (who I’ve crushed on for 2 years) go out of his way to ask for my number. Thank you for sharing your knowledge to us & keep it up!
I know when you have friends who are married or who are couples, it can be hard being single. But think of it like this: some of your girlfriends may envy you. Their relationships might look great from the outside, but usually, you have no idea what’s really going on. One girlfriend could be putting up with a cheater or just a loser guy, and may not be brave enough to leave him. Another may not have had sex for years.
These questions to ask a guy or girl over text are great because chatting with someone over text is a lot different from talking with them in person. So a lot of conversation questions just don’t quite work in a medium that begs for short responses. No long detailed stories. Nothing too deep or heavy. And forget anything too emotionally loaded unless you are an emoji master.
He’s taking forever to text you back? Use my “unclogger” techniques. He texts but never asks you out? I’ll show you easy ways to fix it. It’s also important to know how to spot jerks before you get too far in, how to deal with indecisive guys, and turning his ambivalence into passion. I’m going to show you how to fix them all in my guide to texting!  It’s a PDF that instantly downloads to your pc, Mac, tablet or smartphone so you can start reading it immediately after you order.
Anyways, enough about my feelings, the point I’m making is that every message you send your man should be exciting. Now, I know this can be tough, especially if you have the kind of relationship where you communicate daily through texts, and share those little mundane thoughts and updates, but seriously, believe me when I say it’s time to stop. From here on out you want to make sure that every text message you send is captivating and exciting! I’ll touch more on this later.
The occasional “boy, it’s hot out!” is no big deal, but don’t bitch about your boss, your kids, your life. There’s a fine line between talking to someone about what’s bothering you and simply complaining. Know the difference. If something’s really eating you and you want to talk about it, save it for a phone conversation or an in-person meeting. Otherwise, you’ll come off as a Negative Nelly, and that’s not sexy.
Men tend to be less adept at recognizing symptoms of depression than women. A man is more likely to deny his feelings, hide them from himself and others, or try to mask them with other behaviors. And while men may experience classic symptoms of depression such as despondent mood, loss of interest in work or hobbies, weight and sleep disturbances, fatigue, and concentration problems, they are more likely than women to experience “stealth” depression symptoms such as anger, substance abuse, and agitation.
It’s been seen that romantic eye contact can actually make two people fall in love with each other in no time. The next time you’re having a conversation with him, stare deeply into his eyes as he talks to you. You can smile or flirt, but every time your eyes meet, let the eye contact linger even if both of you aren’t exchanging words. It makes the guy feel warm and fuzzy, and would definitely stir his heart.
Take it slow. Don't rush your new friend, but remember: if he doesn't like you for who you are, don't spend time trying to get him. Don't hope he'll be your boyfriend right away- give him time to get to know you too. Hang out every once in a while to begin with, then start hanging out more often if it's going well. Usually, if you hit it off and have a lot of fun together, the friendship will grow on its own into more frequent visits. Try not to be that person who looks too desperate; you don’t need to decide that he is your future husband within the first week of meeting him.
I never thought about finding a guy primarily because he was rich. With all the fights my parents had about money one might think I’d go chasing after only rich guys but that wasn’t the case. I was more concerned about making a career for myself and being able to make my own money because relationships are not guaranteed and I knew I would need to have money of my own to be able to survive. Insightful points in this post. I can see how a lit of rich people are self made and are very business focused.

Get to know each other. Get to know who he is as a person. This will tell you if he is someone that you really want to get emotionally invested in. You don’t have to like everything about him, but you do have to be accepting of your differences. You can’t change some things, especially not at the beginning of a relationship, so it’s important to like him as he is.

Yes, humans like to feel needed. No, they don't want to feel as though you might collapse into a boneless snivelling heap if they're not around. "A woman who knows what she likes and makes every effort to get it is very attractive," says Kerner. "In fact, when a woman like that needs someone it makes them feel all the more valuable – because it's as though she needs them specifically, rather than just any old person."
LOL, whatever. Most men I know are lazy as hell while their wives coordinate nearly every part of their lives. That includes my husband who acts like he’s doing me a big favor if he puts a load of his own clothes in the washer. AS IF washing his own clothing should be considered some sort of gift to me. He’s lucky that he’s intelligent, caring, and adorable.
First off I want to say thanks for your honest and refreshing post. It's rare and a wonderful thing for a guy to admit the challenges men face and try to act opposite of the gender stereotypes. I'm so sorry about your breakup and hope you find happiness and love. Please stay warm and loving and expressive. The right woman will appreciate it. I personally am the type who loves emotional expression in men.
I think it totally depends on the type of person you are. Each individual has a different threshold of “hard to get” that they are willing to tolerate. When you’re texting someone that you like and they are hard to get, it’s nauseating, exciting, and thrilling, waiting for someone to respond – the fact that it’s new and unknown is exciting. The anticipation and re-reading of texts can drive you mad but it’s that pain and agony that makes it so much better when they respond.”

It turns out, research shows that, in reality, women are the ones who make the first move. . . but not the way you might think. According to research revealed in The Man’s Guide to Women by Dr. John Gottman et al., “Whether or not men are interested in a woman is not strongly related to her objective attractiveness but instead to the nonverbal signals she sends out. In fact, when scoring women’s nonverbal behaviors, researchers were able to predict a man’s approach to her with 90 percent accuracy.”
