There’s a difference between a random occurrence and a habit. If he misses a message or forgets to text back one time, it’s no big deal, but if he’s constantly leaving you waiting on a reply for days at a time, it’s pretty damn clear he’s not interested. He’s not answering (or at least not answering quickly enough) because you’re not on his mind. He texts you when it’s convenient for him, which is most likely when he’s horny or bored.
What each of these examples does is a) lets him know you’re thinking about him and b) give him something to respond to. The entire point of texting is to engage in conversation, so keep your goal in mind. Are you looking to make plans with him for tonight? Just catch up on your day? Have a more heartfelt conversation? Keep that goal in mind when you initiate a conversation.
I see a partnership as 2 people making a go of some common goal. My father used the utensil analogy of couples who are a fork and knife, versus couples who are a pair of chopsticks. The differing expectations for yourself and for your SO means you need a fork/knife relationship. The job gets done, and each person has their role which is fixed by gender norms, or however you two decide.
Make Him Want Me
So, I've been talking to this guy for a couple of weeks. we have known eachother for awhile though but never talked to each other till recently. He was dating this girl for 2 years and they broke up 6 months ago , he messgaed me on instagram asking if i wanted to hangout sometime so i gave him my number! well we started texting for awhile but he isn't very consistent with texting and when we finally hung out i brought up how i always tect him for and he leaves me on read but then reply's to what i said couple days later. his reason was with school and work he has to work off his phone and my messages get pushed back and he would forget to reply, when he realized he forgot he had said it was too late to respond so i wouldnt bother. the next week he didnt talk much saying he had been, which i new he would be with what he had going on and moving out of his apartment that week. well he was active on snapchat at some concert so i thought i text him again and he never replied but still active on social media. i don't know if i shouldn't worry about it and text him again or just forget about it, maybe he isn't interested. i need help everyone i ask doesn't carer they just tell me i don't know. and i really need help figuring out what should i do.
I do agree that men are caught between a rock & a hard place when it comes to emotions. So I think we need to educate women on their expectations of men alongside self reliance. My ex husband became an alcoholic rather than tell me how he was feeling & as a result our marriage ended. But my new partner & I do talk about our feelings, even though he struggles doing this. But I'm a trained counsellor & I'm completely happy in my own skin too + I'm thrilled to have found such a wonderful man!
This guy added me on Facebook about a year ago and then messaged me on my birthday to ask me out for coffee.. At the time I was dating someone else and had to decline based on that and told him I appreciated the invite. A few months ago that boyfriend and I parted ways and a couple weeks ago I messaged that guy on Facebook and we started chatting for hours at a time online and eventually via text and seemed to really hit it off.. This last week we hung out several times and had a lot of fun. It seems he is into me by the way he talks and acts around me and I’ve made it clear I’m into him. However, since we hung out he hasn’t been the one to text me first and has been really inconsistent at times with when he eventually got around to texting me back. Either he takes up to 24 hours to reply or sometimes doesn’t reply at all. When we hung out he stated he had a lot on his mind right now and has been a bit stressed out with work. He works out of town on a 7 on 7 off schedule and seems to obviously have a lot of catching up to do with family/friends/life in general when he is home, so again I can understand the busy aspect of things.. I’m not a needy person, but I do text him maybe once a day just to say hello and to say that I hope he’s having a good day or that he was on my mind.. I feel like I’m getting some mixed messages now about whether or not he wants to be talking or even moving forward with hanging out. I’ve noticed at times that he has been active on social media after not responding to my texts right away.. I am somewhat inclined to straight up ask him if he still shares my interest in hanging out more and if he sees me as a possible girlfriend, but again it comes down to appearing needy or coming across too strong too early in the game. Is it better to be forward and ask straight up? Or should I just ride it out, stop messaging him for a while and see what happens? Could this just be an indication of his texting habits and maybe I’m reading into it too much?
Positive people are naturally attractive because everyone wants to be happy: If you exude positivity, you’ll be amazingly attractive, not just to the guy you want in your life, but to everyone. A positive attitude can ultimately change how you interact and relate in every relationship you have, whether it’s with a guy, loved ones, family, friends, or colleagues.
Once I had a short relationship with a Rich boy who was 4.5 yrs younger than me. Then I dumped him because I got to know he is a flirty. But we are still good friends and he still appreaciate me. At that time what I understood is for a Richman what is more important is if you will accept him even without his money. This boy I met was the only son of a rich dad. So he mostly attract women for his money. But if you can appreaciate him for himself , he will fall for you more than anyone else. And of course Richmen like independant women. If you can show him you do not want his money, but only him that will be a big plus.
How To Get A Guy To Make A Move

I’ve done loads of research, and put myself through a grueling dating boot-camp, so I can help, at least a little. Here are 8 ways to find a boyfriend. Are you ready?
Conversation Starters For Texting
There's a catch though: If you want to snag his immediate interest, the change has to be guy-visible. "To activate his desire, it has to be a departure from your everyday look," says David Buss, PhD, author of The Evolution of Desire. Maybe take a break from your jeans routine and strut around in a miniskirt. Wear a noticeably higher heel. Or ditch your bra for a day and put a little extra bounce in your step.
I hope the writer of this article will see this. I know this is to help people with dating and maybe some girls do these things, but I don’t think most of this is anything groundbreaking – at least not to me. What I don’t understand is why anyone would thinking ghosting someone is being nice or letting them down w/o hurting their feelings. I’m sure guys aren’t the only ones that do this. It probably goes both ways a little. Even if you’re not exclusive you deserve the respect of a conversation. Avoiding that is making it easier on no one other than the person doing the ghosting.
When these types of thoughts overwhelm you, it's important to remember that this is a symptom of your depression and these irrational, pessimistic attitudes-known as cognitive distortions-aren't realistic. When you really examine them they don't hold up. But even so, they can be tough to give up. You can't break out of this pessimistic mind frame by telling yourself to "just think positive." Often, it's part of a lifelong pattern of thinking that's become so automatic you're not even completely aware of it. Rather, the trick is to identify the type of negative thoughts that are fueling your depression, and replace them with a more balanced way of thinking.
I like the happy face but that is probably because I was beaten into cuteness living in Japan so long. I am embarrassed to say I had to resist sticking a poke’mon head over the gear shifter of my car last week. The above examples look similar but each communicates something slightly different. Maybe you don’t think this will be picked up by the guy but I promise you it will be subconsciously. What do these communicate? The first example is a bit cold but it leaves more to the imagination which can be fun depending on his response. The happy face and lol are both softeners and leave the reader with a feeling that they just got nudged in the ribs with a smile. (^_-)-☆ do not underestimate how small signals can get your point across!
Its not the end of the world. Ive seen amazing reconstruction surgeries that are beautiful-working from nothing, and turning out to look better than most womens natural breasts. My advice to you is to remember that your a survivor! And that life goes on. You can and will, do and be, complete and better…im not just saying that. Its a reality if u want it. let go of any heartache and take what you deserve for your life, be happy. Congrats to you! Your so strong!
If he is using pauses with you match him until you can ascertain whether or not it is intentional. If he pauses a day, YOU pause a day! Match his or her rhythm or better yet set the rhythm yourself. This can be done at anytime just make sure your pause is longer than his. This seems petty but!! It communicates very clearly who is in better control of their needs. This is not a game (well it is… but so is everything). It is more of a test that each of you put the other through. Imagine that your needing a text is just like them trying to kiss you and wont give up, not too attractive…
Some people are clearly better than others at this. I have two sets of friends — one couple is married with children, and another couple will soon be married — who have met through me. I don't try to set anyone up, I just enjoy going out with all of my friends. So, I work hard to merge my college friends with my work friends with my high school friends.
Make Him Love Me
I don’t care about getting a “rich” man– just a good man who can appreciate me for me. Yet it is still incredibly difficult, and I’m not sure why. Not to toot my own horn, but I do everything that is on your “women do this” list. Most of the guys I’ve dated have been in their mid thirties (I’m 26) and honestly usually know more about personal finance and money management than they do. I’m successful, own my own house, don’t depend on anyone to pay my bills, work hard, have big dreams, and know what it’s like to struggle (have lived through some childhood trauma). I never take things for granted because I learned very young that life can end in a second.
This was by far the most common advice you’ll find: don’t just text someone “hey.” In fact, if you browse some online dating profiles you’ll probably find people sharing the same advice. While writing the book Modern Romance, comedian Aziz Ansari and Dr. Eric Klinenberg, Professor of Sociology at New York University, organized hundreds of focus groups to decipher the modern dating landscape. When they asked the focus groups about their personal texts, they found that participants unanimously agreed that the “hey” text is a bad idea.
You know you love it when the guy you’re dating asks you questions about your life and interests, so why wouldn’t you reciprocate? Asking questions about his job, his family, his hobbies, or his day is an excellent strategy in how to text a guy to keep him interested. By showing your own interest in his life, he is reassured that you dig him, and he’ll respond in kind.
When it comes to love, you probably have the same set of ideas in mind. Flowers, candle lit dinners, holding hands and planning your happily ever after with the man of your dreams. Well that’s all cute and charming, before you can share those experiences with a guy, you need to make him fall in love with you… which is exactly what I’m going to teach you today.
For my case though I disagree that money makes me feel more attractive. I’m rather reserved with how I use my money as well. I don’t spend it on things that show wealth like cars and clothing. I usually spend it on things that I enjoy but others won’t see like Good restaurants business class flights and really good cooking apparatus. This mindset of I want to shop among everyone else in walmart with millions in the bank and not a single other person would know it is likely because I don’t want a woman to want me for my money. I want her to want me for my hardworking ethics and I seek that in a woman mostly as well.
First conversations are a wild card, but just use the situation you’re in to guide you, and be relaxed and informal. If you’re at an exhibition, talk about the painting that really grabs your attention. If you’re in a bar, discuss how shit the cocktail garnishes are. If you’re in the street, ask him if he’s seen an Eat anywhere because you’re desperately craving their little chilli cracker snacks. /injects>
You have a serious problem if he is too shy to talk with you. How will you ever communicate about all the important issues you are likely to face in a long-term relationship? I'm not sure what kind of a relationship you're in or how long you've been together, but if you can't convince him to trust you enough to open up and communicate with you, I genuinely believe you'd be better off with someone else. And I suspect he'd be happier if he waits until he finds a partner better suited to him. Either someone who is happy and comfortable with the silence or someone who has the unique qualities he needs to allow him to feel comfortable enough to be open and communicative.
Texts To Send A Guy To Make Him Smile
Most people enjoy little signs of positivity, especially in the morning, a “good morning” text being one of them. This text essentially means you thought of them first thing when you woke up. Yes, that’s right, before caffeine and teeth brushing. Guys may act like they think texts like these are stupid and cliché, but in my experience, when they’re accustomed to it, they start to miss them when they’re gone. If you want to mix it up a bit a "have a good day "text can also have the same effect.
According to financial samurai’s “semi-sliding” scale, I guess I fall into the category of a “rich man” (offhand and on average $730k/yr income depending plus my business equity worth and investments) and I DEFINITELY see that women who would normally be out of my reach are more interested in striking up a conversation. I don’t think it buys you an automatic “in” with those kind of women but it certainly helps.
Science has shown that when looking for their perfect mate, guys tend to go for the girl who fills a void that's missing in their life. People naturally gravitate to those who are similar to them, but when it comes to dating, people are also looking for someone who can create a balance. If your guy is suffering from low self-esteem, become the confident and bubbly person he wishes he can be. He will subconsciously feel attracted to you, because you are everything he wants to be!
Few calls a day when we not together and I never know when we meet….weekends he will be with me..sometimes even that I will not have….Talking about moving in together…but I’m thinking…do I really want to end up in huge house alone?? he is never home….I met him,I thought he working in zoo…I liked that idea…then I realized that little zoo…is not job. It’s his hobby…But was to late.I was in love.
Would that getting his attention long enough to pursue her attraction be so simple—Not. Laura makes mistake after mistake in her attempts to connect with him. After switching out of her AP classes to help cement her popularity quest, she discovers that Adam is probably her equal in the brains department, so she initiates a series of well-intentioned, but disastrous swaps with other kids in an effort to get in the same classes and work on some projects with him, all the while trying to keep Jake far enough away so she doesn't have to go to the prom with him.
It also rang true that we tend to attract someone when not interested in them because we're being our authentic selves - so how do we replicate that comfortable inner state & natural outer state so we can be our best, authentic selves when interacting with someone we are attracted to? How can we communicate that quickly, when we may have a few hours, minutes, seconds even to inspire a guy to pursue us? This book gives basic tips on how to do that.
Maybe that’s true. But personally, with rich/successful guys, asking for money is like the WORST thing you can do. Even if your kids are like dying or you have to live on the street. You should be REALLY careful (and really just avoid altogether) asking for financial help of any kind. Just drop hints you’re struggling financially and if he really cares about you, HE will make the decision to give you money (and really the decision needs to be his). This is SO important.
* Show a tremendous interest in your personal finances. Nothing is more attractive than a woman who has a strong command of her finances. The more a woman cares about her own financial well-being, the less the man has to worry about having to care for everything financial-related, even though he easily could. I recommend signing up for Personal Capital, a free financial software online that lets you track your cash flow, analyzes your investments for excessive fees, calculators your retirement financials, and tracks your net worth. I’m positive a rich guy will be super impressed with your financial savviness if you show him the app on your phone next time you meet up. Being financially wise is sexy!
Stop going to those stupid parties. Expand your personal zeitgeist. "Nice guys" are putting on guerrilla art shows, working with the NRDC, riding in mountain bike rallies, and campaigning to get morons tossed out of Congress. Why not join one of these groups and make a little difference in the world? The men you meet will sometimes be startlingly hot, but who cares? You'll have time to get to know 10 or 12 of the buggers and decide which one really does deserve you.
When I justify an action by me being busy, it usually means, sorry dude I consider that the things that I am doing at work right to be of a higher priority and interest than you are. This was me being brutally honest. Now it doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t care for that person intimately on a superficial level…it just means that since they are not a long term investment for me or possibly because I am not at that stage of commitment…
This second batch of reasons is perfectly legitimate. But if, when you’re really honest with yourself, you agree with some of the first batch of reasons why you want a boyfriend, I encourage you to explore those reasons. As I said before: being lonely isn’t the end of the world. It can actually be really fulfilling if you let it. If you want a more robust social life, go out with your friends or make new ones. If you’re horny, well, you don’t need a man to help with that. 😊 And if you want to make your ex jealous? Grow up. You’re better than that.
It’s a complicated world. Wealth is great, but dignity perseverance and hardwork is more satisfying than searching for a rich man. I’ve dated 3 billionaires according to my countries standard… I felt like a furniture most of the time..when around them. Il rather marry a working class average man now, and get all the love and attention when I get back home to him. Then work together on him becoming a billionaire.
Stereotyping would be if someone stated something like, “Men work hard and women don’t”. I didn’t say that and I definitely don’t believe that. Personally speaking, the women I date tend to be highly educated and hard working (I’ve dated many doctors, lawyers, surgeons, business owners, top salespeople, a college professor, etc.) They happen to be attractive women, very feminine, but also very effective, hard-working, high-achieving women.
Hi,so I met this guy on line two months ago. We started chatting regularly and eventually he gave me his phone number. I didn’t use it and instead gave him mine. It took him only couple of days to contact met. Since then we were texting each other pretty much non-stop all day. And most of the time it was him texting first. Eventually after three weeks we arrange a meeting in person. That was four weeks ago. During these four weeks he`d come to see me (he lives 30miles away) every night or every second night and we even spent our days off together. He was so into me and so opened about his feelings towards me. He always wanted to know how I feel about him and he tend to discuss the previous day via txts. He was the one who wanted to establish the relationship straight away (which I thought was a bit weird tbh) making sure that we are exclusive so I wouldn’t date other guys. Then he wanted me to tell my friends about him. Well eventually I did as we seemed to get on better an better. I thought he was quite sensitive and insecure as he kept telling me how he feels and asking me how I see things. Reading between lines it was like he doubted that I could like him. I didn’t get it. He was this typical good looking, cocky football player who spend a lot of time at the gym and posing in front of a mirror. Which I thought was hilarious and I kept laughing every time I saw him doing that. He kept talking about me meeting his children (he has 3) and his family. And also about our future. Quite frankly I thought it was all too quick but I never said a word. Then last weekend he came down to see me (even met two of my girlfriends) and we had a good time as always. He left on Sunday saying that he has a busy week ahead of him and if possible he`d come and see me in the middle of the week. I was completely fine with that. So as usual we spent all Monday texting each other although I though he was a bit distant in his text which I thought was due to his busy work load. On Tuesday he texted less saying he had no signal( which occasionally happened as he also works as gas engineer) and apologised saying he had a long bad day at work and not to ask. So I didn’t ask and just said that its ok that I understand. Since then I`ve not heard from him. I texted him couple of times but no reply. Its been, ,only,, few days but its very unlike him not to text at all. So I am really confused as I don’t know what`s happening.
You need a bit of luck to find someone good, but you can make your own luck. That simply means putting yourself in situations where you meet new people. It could be a party, an after-school club, a new hobby, the gym, a charity event, a speed-dating event or even a website. You don't have to hold up a sign saying 'I'm single'. Just be approachable and friendly and who knows what might happen. You could work on your chatting-up skills too.
If your guy loves you, he will appreciate your thoughts on how the universe is expanding and time is moving so fast. He will like the daily updates about which dogs you saw that day, and he’ll especially enjoy the childhood story of how you fell out of a tree in your grandma’s backyard. He will learn to appreciate your mood swings and the long, terrific tales that come with them of the rude girl in chemistry who would not stop kicking your chair. Whatever it is, they want to hear their significant other spill their heart out. They love you and your (bad) storytelling habits.
You’re right I may be portraying women too gloriously, but I suspect the kind of women you’re talk to are young (early 20s). Of course young women fantasize about having money and spending it more than having kids. But despite what these women say, thoughts of kids will come up eventually.. either as a way to “secure” the man or their priorities will change; believe it or not, women will get bored and if a rich man can’t offer love and attention as readily as a poor man will, kids will do the job!
Girls are ALWAYS asking me what it means when he does not text back. Well it simply means that he is in control of the conversation whether he knows it or not. Just recently I sent a few texts to a friend and finally a phone call since I got no response back. I was a bit concerned that my buddy was upset with me so I stopped by his house. (granted this is a guy friend and multiple texting, calling is allowed) Standing in the front door was a grotesque elephant man like version of Bryce. His face was swollen like a boxer with a nose that looked more like it belonged on an alcoholic, punch drunk, elephant seal.
okay maybe u will find me somewhat ‘unique’ but let me spare u some advice. why do u have to limit your life to finding someone to be with forever? don’t get me wrong but isn’t it some sort of empowering to live on your own? happiness does not come a from a person. be kind towards others and have a great personality and character can also give one’s happiness. of course, the ultimate happiness come from God. when u have God and u feel His love what more do u need? I am perfectly happy and content just by loving God and live according to His will.
We know you're naturally a nice person and everyone loves you, but you need for your guy to see this trait in order to fall in love with you. We're not asking you to be a saint, or the second coming of Mother Teresa; but anytime you can show him how kind you are, do it! It can be as simple as volunteering for a charity function, or paying for the person in line behind you at Starbucks. If he knows that you are a giving person who goes out of your way for complete strangers, he will instantly fall in love!
Ask interesting questions. “How are you?” isn’t interesting. “Tell me five things about you, four of them true” is. Be interesting. You also need to know what to do if the texting goes drier than a popcorn fart. For that you need fun, conversational starters (icebreakers). I’m going to show you a list of zany icebreakers that’ll totally get his attention.
This is a little more aggressive than a simple invitation to your Uncle Bob’s barbecue. It clearly has some sexual implications for all of the right reasons. Guys like a woman who knows what she wants, and he’ll appreciate the tone. It’s really up to you whether to add winky faces or not. Is it overkill? Yes. Will it get the point across? Most definitely.
Confused as I can possibly be. Our phone conversations are fantastic – we talk about everything, very in depth conversations about different things. Now I haven’t heard from him in more than a day and I literally have no idea why that is. We usually text every day – he recently had a large work project which he told me he would me very unavailable, so I didn’t expect any texts but he would still send me something during the day just a quick “I miss you” or “Thinking of you”. He is back, we have texted and talked by phone then yesterday – nothing – for the first time in 3 months – absolutely nothing. I text him yesterday day morning to say I hoped his meetings went well and that I knew he would be awsome in his work and that I was thinking of him. He has just started a new personal project that he is working on and we have talked about extensively. And now NOTHING!!!! He has told me he more than cares for me and that one day it’s just all going to come spilling out. He and I talk about the unusual connection we both feel and on and on. I am just so torn because I have feelling for this person and from everything he has said, he does as well. I have not text him since yesterday morning and I do not plan to. I feel like the ball is in his court at this point. I just enjoy him so much and as I said, I care for him. I have a very full life myself so I am busy with projects of my own. So I understand very much being busy. I just find it odd that during his other busy times, he still found a second to send me a quick message and now….????? I have told him how those little messages make me feel special and how much I appreciate him taking the time to send me that to let me know he is thinking of me. Almost as soon as I acknowledged those things – he hasn’t done it. He asks me if I am happy – and I answer that I am – because I am a happy person – I don’t rely on him to make me happy – he ads to my happiness however, which perhaps I should tell him that in that way, I usually just answer that questions with a “yes, I am”. And I have been, until right now – I am utterly confused – my heart feels like a small hole has formed for some crazy reason. HELP!!!!!!!!
* Nobody is going to give me anything. Given most rich men are self-made, they strongly do not believe in entitlement. Nothing is deserved which is not earned. Given this type of stance, sometimes they can be very harsh on those who are receiving some type of assistance from the government, friends, or family members. It takes time to assuage such a man to see another’s point of view as a result. Men want to see that a woman is independent or on her way to being financially independent through self-struggle.
My Advice: Go out of the environment you would typically find yourself in, strip yourself of everything that shows you are financially secure, i don’t mean look poor, but have a natural and modest look. Go for charity walks, Go to places where you’ll meet people doing things for a positive cause, mix up, take interest and enjoy the activities and just be you. Hopefully the right man will come along.
